Starting the Bikram Yoga 30-day Challenge!

Oof.

Oof.

I thought I’d get an early start on #17 on my list (lose 30 pounds) while knocking off another BIG 30-before-30 goal:

#7: COMPLETE THE 30-DAY BIKRAM YOGA CHALLENGE!

I’m so excited! I’m so tired! And it’s only DAY 2!

To be honest, I was so nervous that I wouldn’t make it through a single class, let alone 30 days, that I hesitated to sign my name on the list on the first day.

But today, after successfully struggling through the second class (at 6:00 AM!!!), I decided to put my name up on the chart near the front doors of the studio. Seeing my name on that list really makes it feel official!

THE IMPORTANCE OF INTENTION

The practitioners at my studio say it’s important to know WHY you’re participating in the challenge. If you know exactly why you’re doing something, you can keep those reasons in mind when you’re digging deep for the motivation to carry on.

My motivation is to prove I can finish what I start.

I really want to finish this. I want to prove to myself that I CAN finish something once I’ve made my mind up.
